Nor would you know enough of who your supervisor is so new hires are usually very confused and lost since the set-up is near a YMCA but in the parking lots. upon hire which was over the phone after a brief conversation as an interview, from an out of country number, you hardly have information of where you will be stationed. depending on weather, bring a thick sweater, raincoat or sunglasses. always setting up a tent, tables, chairs, cones, paperwork, clipboards and pens, with a cart of sometimes unorganized supplies in the morning and putting everything away again at the end of the day. sometimes supplies for testing are completely out for days to weeks so we have to personally apologize to people and offer another site nearby or hear them out for complaints since other sites nearby have to do the same. sometimes not enough gowns or face shields where it was required to reuse them for weeks. Plus, if you are close enough to the supervisor then they allow excuses on leaving early from covering another site favoritism sometimes occurs so breaks and lunches are not always the same times. The sites that need staff do not receive help and if they did, people would leave early for any excuse like needing a jacket for the rain and not come back. understaffed or overstaffed and sometimes unorganized. at the end of the year there is a company dinner provided by the CEOs and they raffled a few big prizes away to employees only. always have work available, rain or shine, and most holidays. new location is indoors but lines for people walking in or appointments, are wrapping around the building at times (Not enough parking there because there are many shopping stores in that small plaza). LOTS of parking available for the outdoor sites People come out of their cars after being swabbed in about 15 minutes and go to the tent to get their same day results, unless it is sent to the laboratory they leave once swabbed. when we test, we take the supplies and give back IDs to the people who are waiting in their cars that are parked in front or next to our set-up tent. depending on the site stationed at, it can be a great environment with coworkers lots of communication by text or emails and for clocking in/out it is an app you download on your phone provided by an email link attachment. If hired for full-time you are required to complete 40 hours a week and can work 8 hours a day or do overtime. flexible hours to choose from, between 7:30AM-6PM Mon-Friday and Saturday 7:30AM-1PM or 3PM (depends on the location).
